Sunday in Brighton

W Bordeaux temperatura oscyluje w okolicach 30 stopni, więc kiedy zobaczyłam, że mamy już kalendarzową jesień, trochę zdębiałam. Lato spędzone w Anglii zdecydowanie mnie nie rozpieszczało, więc cieszę się, że temperatura wcale nie słucha się kalendarza. Dzisiaj chciałabym Was zabrać do Brighton - słynnego nadmorskiego kurortu na południu Anglii. Pogoda trafiła nam się tamtego przednia, przez moment przestałam nawet narzekać na angielski klimat. Stanie w korku i szukanie miejsca do parkowania w napakowanym turystami mieście trochę źle nastawiło mnie z rana, ale gdy rozsiadłam się na kamienistej plaży i spoglądnęłam na morze, zły humor minął jak ręką odjął. Przez chwilę żałowałam, że nie pokusiłam się o krótkie spodenki, ale gdy słońce schowało się za chmurami, od razu przypomniałam sobie, gdzie jednak jestem.
 Po krótkim posiedzeniu na plaży, udaliśmy się w stronę Brighton Pier - ogromnego molo z parkiem rozrywki. To totalnie nie moja bajka, ale widok z końca mola na miasto był ładny.
 Zwiedzenie Brighton w jeden dzień to niezły pomysł. Słoneczny weekend i już możemy czuć się (prawie) jak na południu Francji ;)

The temperature in Bordeaux is oscillating around 30C so I was quite puzzled when I saw that according to the calendar it's autumn! The summer spent mostly in England didn't spoil me so I am quite happy that the temperature is not respecting the calendar. Today, I would like to take you to Brighton - the famous seaside resort in the Southern England. We were lucky with the weather and for the moment I didn't even have any reason to complain about the English climat. Being stuck in the traffic jam and looking for a parking slot in the crowded city centre were not the best starting points of our visit but once I sat on the rocky beach and looked at the sea, the bad mood was gone! For a moment I even regreted that I hadn't taken my shorts but once the sun hid behind the clouds, I recalled in which country I was!
 After a short break on the beach we went toward Brighton Pier - a huge molo with lunapark. It was not my kind of attraction but the view on the city from the end of the platform was really nice.
 Visitng Brighton for one day is definetely a good idea. Choose a sunny weekend and you can (almost) feel like in Southern France :)
