Brisbane

I will remember Brisbane as one of the best cities in Australia although I went there during Aussie winter so the weather was perfect - not too hot or too cold. I can imagine that summer over there is much more tropical! I was able to cuddle a koala (you are not allowed to do so in Victoria or New South Wales), to see a very modern architecture and to enjoy a lot of green areas. The biggest problem I had with this city was that it is not at all pedestrian-friendly once you are among the cars. On every crossing I had to wait at least 5 minutes for the green light and it was impossible to cross like French people do (so breaking the rules) cause the cars were driving very fast, even in the city! I know it seems like a detail but if you have to cross three crossings just to get to another side of the road (why making it easy if you can make it complicated, right?), you can be frustrated.
But besides this bad urban planning, the city is worth seeing and I would have loved to spend more days there! And a big plus for Queensland cities for swimming pools in the city center free of charge! ;)
